Black Mountain Goldendoodles really had it's beginnings when I bought my first Goldendoodle "Grizzly" in 2007 and instantly fell in love with the breed. "Grizzly" was the perfect dog and unlike any dog I'd ever had.
Through the years we have owned and loved, Siberian Huskies (I even bred them for a time), English Setters, Golden Retrievers, Cocker Spaniels and even a couple of mix-breeds. But I found the Goldendoodle to be exceptional. Soon one wasn't enough and "Teddy Bear" came to live with us. Teddy showed the same wonderful traits that I'd seen in "Grizzly".
Because of my love for this breed, I decided I wanted to share what I'd discovered with other dog lovers. And so, Black Mountain Goldendoodles was born.
Black Mountain Goldendoodles is located on 160 acres in Northern Michigan. Because of our love of animals, we share our property with not only the dogs but also 3 parrots (2 are rescues), 8 Peacocks, over 30 chickens and a cat. Canada geese and Mallard ducks fill our ponds while White Tail Deer, raccoons, rabbits, coyotees and other wildlife roam the fields and forests. The dogs have plenty of exposure to other animals and they all get along well together.
We also have a small airport on our property called Black Mountain Aerodrome. And yes, the dogs love to fly with us!
